Ron Mathis
Who We Are
My name is Ron Mathis and from a very young age I have been drawn to all things mechanical. Like many of you it started with the toys meant to help you build things, then bikes, then mini-bikes, go carts and motorcycles. I got my first car at 14 years old for $125 and pulled it home with rope and my mini-bike.
After HS I joined the Air Force and spent 10 years as a jet mechanic learning everything I could about aircraft, all the while buying and building cars and bikes on the side.
Being an Air Force vet and a proud American has been a driving force throughout my adult life. My son is a Marine and I'd like to think I instilled some of that in him.
As I have moved through life cars and bikes have always been there. This passion takes lots of time and money as well as an understanding wife. Most of the time you might have at most one or two of these but rarely all three at the same time.
Seeing a piece of American iron being brought back to life in whatever shape your vision sees it seems like a positive endeavor to me. Our fathers and forefathers built these cars the first time and now we get to rebuild them again. Hence, Made in America - Twice. God bless.
